Description: This recall involves NPW Halloween Projector Flashlights. The flashlight is orange with white stripes and a black end piece and measures about six inches long by one inch wide. The product comes with three Halloween themed projector covers, including pumpkin, ghost and skull patterns that fit over the black end piece to change the pattern of the flashlight. The flashlight uses two AA batteries.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled flashlights and return them to any Target store for a full refund. Consumers should turn off the product, remove the batteries, mark the product with “recalled” in permanent marker prior to returning the flashlight to Target. Target is contacting all known purchasers directly.

Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received nine reports of overheating including six reports of smoke or fire, resulting in four reports of minor burn injuries.

Description: This recall involves Gimars Playpens with model numbers GWL-01, GWL-02, GWL-03, GWL-04, GWL-05 and GWL-06. The playpens are labeled with the product name “Gimars Playpen with mat” on a label attached to the top rail. “Gimars” is also printed in white on one side of the top rail. The playpens are dark gray, black and light gray fabric with white mesh sides. The mattress is reversible with printed road and animal designs. The playpens come with a basketball hoop that attaches to the top rail and multicolored balls.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using and keep children away from the recalled playpens. Consumers should disassemble the playpen and cut the fabric floor, mattress pad and basketball hoop accessory each into two pieces. Then, consumers should upload photos of the cut product using the online submission form or email the photos to Gimars-Aftersales@outlook.com to obtain a full refund. Shenzhen Jingdu Technology and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.

Description: This recall involves the Droyd Fury Youth ATV, model number “XW-A01”, intended for children 6 years and older. The ATVs were sold in three colors:  Speed Red, Power Blue and Force Green. The model name “FURY” is printed on the front and sides of the ATV. The model number can be found on the identification plate located under the front left fender, which also states, “This ATV is subject to the Jinling International, Inc. ATV Action Plan filed with and approved by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.”

Description: This recall involves Droyd multi-purpose helmets for youths. The recalled helmets were sold in sizes medium (M) and large (L). The helmets are black, with black padding, black straps, and a black buckle. “DROYD” is printed on the back of the helmet. Model and serial number are located on the serial number label inside the helmet (e.g. “DHM000001” or “DHL000001”).

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled Droyd helmets immediately and contact Reyhee for a full refund. To receive a refund, consumers must cut the straps off the helmet and submit two photos: one photo of both straps cut off and one photo of the helmet and cut straps inside of a trash can. WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is warning consumers to immediately stop using and dispose of Magnetic Chess Games sold by Zhengtongfu. CPSC testing determined the magnets do not comply with the requirements of the mandatory federal regulation for magnet toys and pose a risk of serious injury or death if ingested by children. 

CPSC issued a Notice of Violation to the seller, Zhengtongfu, of China, but the firm has not agreed to recall the Magnetic Chess Games or offer a remedy to consumers.

When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract to each other, or to another metal object, and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting and/or blockage of the intestines, infection, blood poisoning and death. 

CPSC estimates 2,400 magnet ingestions were treated in hospital emergency departments annually from 2017 through 2021. CPSC is aware of eight deaths since 2005 through 2021 involving the ingestion of hazardous magnets, including two outside of the United States.

The games were sold in a blue box with the word “Magnetic” on the front and back of the box. The box may have a white sticker label with Amazon’s FN SKU: X0041CMAKH. The game includes about 20 loose black magnets, a yellow string, and a plastic drawstring storage bag. Although marketed as a chess game, it does not contain chess pieces. The magnetic games were sold online at www.amazon.com for about $16.

CPSC urges consumers to stop using the magnetic chess games immediately, take them away from children, and dispose of them or take them to your local recycling facility. Do not sell or give away these hazardous magnetic games.
